I'm still a bit new to linux/debian, but I'm just trying to recover some file for a friend in my work site, and the only computer I have access to is my rpi with offical screen. and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download can be run on raspberry pi and how would execute that?

TestDisk is available through the package manager. Install it from a terminal with 

sudo apt-get install testdisk

Then you should be able to execute it with testdisk.
